Valentine's is only three weeks away. A day to celebrate your love for each other. My favourite colour is pink so I do get a bit excited about all the pink-themed Valentine's day gifts and baking all the heart-shaped cookies. I especially love the cheesy novelty items that you can also get. If you would like more information about Valentine's day, check here. Here are some of my favourite gifts ranging from budget to high end. All products can be ordered online.
Budget Gift Ideas
Being on a budget doesn't mean you can't get something thoughtful and meaningful for your loved one. Here are a few of my from the poundshop.com. Even if you're currently single, you can still treat yourself. However, if you're looking for a Valentine for next year head over to cornwall singles.
High-End Gift Ideas
If you want to splash the cash, Selfridges is the place to go. Maybe one day you would like to have that special person in your life, check out Cornwall dating.
Galentine's Day Gift Ideas
Don't forget Galantine's Day is on The 13th of February, just before Valentine's. A day to celebrate friendships. Galentine's Day used to be primarily about the friendships between women, but these days anyone can celebrate it. Going out for cocktails was a popular way of celebrating before the pandemic. Some bars used to have Galentine's Day themed nights and special drink offers. Don't worry you can still celebrate by having a video call party. Put on your favourite outfit and do your makeup and hair as if you were actually going out. Prepare your nibbles and drinks and have an amazing time. There are lots of party games you can play online to like Charades. Here are some gifts that I think would be perfect for a friend. You can find them at Not On The High Street.
Staying Safe Online
Online dating is a huge industry with thousands of users joining every day. It can be lots of fun. However, you should always be cautious too. Here are some of my tips for staying safe online.
Don't give out your number right away. Sure, you could be excited by this new guy but right now he could be anyone.
Don't give out personal details. Many scammers use online dating apps to try and get bank details from people.
Never meet up (Before Covid) without video calling a few times first. If you meet someone without ever having spoken to them on the phone/video call, they might not be the person they say they are.
Don't give out your address.
Don't give out your work address.
Make sure they are who they say they are. If they don't want to video call after texting for a while that is a major red flag.
Be vigilant but enjoy yourself. You may be single this Valentine's day but who's to say you won't be next year.
